About the Xaló Valley

tranquil, yet lively, daring & exciting

Welcome to the Xaló Valley!

This valley, that is also referred to as the ‘Jalón Valley’ and with its official name ‘Vall de Pop’, is located in the north of the Costa Blanca in the autonomous community of València

The valley has a rich and famous history and it has been known for centuries for its excellent wines, raisins, olives and its almonds

These days the Xaló Valley is well known for its healthy microclimate, almond blossoms, perfect cycling conditions & trekking routes and hospitality.

The Xaló Valley offers plenty for a great & unforgettable stay!

The name Xaló Valley

Although the official name for this valley is ‘Vall de Pop’, Xaló Valley, or formerly Jalón Valley, comes from the name of the centrally located and largest town in the valley

In 1994 the town of Jalón changed its name to the dual denomination of “Jalón” in Castellano and “Xaló” in Valenciano

Later, in 2007, Jalón/Xaló adopted exclusively the Valencian name and since then, the official name of the town is Xaló

It's healthy!

The Xaló Valley was classified a few years ago as the second healthiest place to live in the world! This because it has its own micro climate. According to the WHO, the area around the valley, the Costa Blanca North and the city of Valencia are both the healthiest area and city to live!

The Xaló Valley is apart from being really green, also very healthy and therefore attracts many (professional) sportspeople, general health seekers and health professionals
